Introducing Airweave, an open-source tool that lets agents search and retrieve data from any app or database.

It's MCP compatible and seamlessly connects any app, database, or API, to transform their contents into agent-ready knowledge.

Here's how it works:

  1. Airweave syncs data from third-party services (like Notion, Salesforce, etc.).

  2. Then, it transforms their contents into searchable knowledge bases for agents

  3. When an agent queries, Airweave does semantic search over this knowledge base to return highly relevant, clean, and context-rich snippets.

  4. It exposes an MCP or REST API layer so agents can always find what they need and yield accurate personalized results.

It's 100% Open Source

When building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, choosing the right vector database is critical. Latency, indexing speed, filtering accuracy, and ingestion performance all have a direct impact on how well your application scales and serves users.

Most vector database benchmarks don’t reflect how these systems behave under real RAG workloads. They often rely on synthetic datasets, single-use scenarios, or ideal hardware environments that miss the complexity of production systems.

VDBBench is an open-source benchmark suite designed to address this. It focuses on practical, large-scale performance evaluation rather than just academic or isolated metrics.

It includes 15 real-world test cases across:

  • Capacity tests with large and small dimension vectors

  • Test cases designed for real-world scenarios such as "search-while-ingesting"

  • Filtering search performance under different filtering rates and parallel levels

VDBBench also supports multiple vector databases out of the box, letting you compare them under the same conditions with reproducible results.

If you're working on production RAG systems and want realistic performance insights, it's a solid resource to explore.

Hugging Face released a comprehensive course on Model Context Protocol (MCP)!

It teaches you how to build AI applications that leverage external data and tools using the latest MCP standards.

Here’s what the course covers:

  • The theory, design, and practical use of Model Context Protocol

  • How to use established MCP SDKs and frameworks

  • Hands-on challenges to evaluate your MCP implementations
